TESSER connects hospital workflows, patients’ daily lives and life-science research through Ontol. We’re looking for people who bring medicine, technology, regulation and product together to shape what comes next in healthcare.
Technology that understands healthcare, change that reaches practice.
AI that works in practice
We build products that go into the real work of hospitals and screening centers, and see up close how they are used in clinics and in patients’ lives.
Different expertise, one team
AI research, engineering, privacy, regulatory and product look at the same problems together. In a field as complex as healthcare, good decisions come from many perspectives.
From problem to outcome
You define the problems in your area, decide how to solve them and own the outcome. As the team grows, you also help shape how we work.

Research
AI Researcher
Research the AI behind Ontol that understands medical records and test results, and turn it into models used in hospital work.
What you’ll do
Research and improve LLMs and agents for hospital work such as test result analysis, clinical documentation and report generation.
Design retrieval and reasoning methods that combine models with ontologies of medical terms and workflow relationships.
Build evaluation data and frameworks that reflect clinical review standards, and validate accuracy and safety.
Experiment with engineers and the product team to bring research results into the product.
What we’re looking for
Research or development experience in natural language processing or machine learning
Hands-on experience implementing and testing language model techniques such as fine-tuning, prompt design and RAG
Fluency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch
Ability to design experiments and explain results with evidence
Nice to have
Experience with medical text or data such as EMRs, screening results or radiology reports
Research experience in knowledge graphs, information extraction or structured output
Publications at major conferences
Experience with model serving and inference optimization
